I started painting because I didn't want to jump out of perfectly good airplanes.
It happened like this...
A coworker was getting together a group of people to go skydiving. Would I like to join them?
Uh, no thanks.
But it got me thinking. I was getting in a bit of a rut. I really should try something different.
So instead of going up, I went down; I took a scuba diving class. I was fine under water but got sick to my stomach on coming up.
So, what could I do that was different? Hmmm...
Painting! I hadn't done anything artistic since finger-painting in second grade, but I took a class at the Creative Arts Group in Sierra Madre and fell in love with it.
I like the interplay of light and shadow, with a bit of mystery when I can manage it.
I hope you like my work.
